The name Araperique is made up of Arapiraca and Perique. In other words, the combination of the Brazilian raw tobacco Arapiraca and the maturation technique “Method Perique”. The tobacco is laboriously harvested leaf by leaf, subjected to the drying process, stripped by hand and then fermented for at least a year in oak whiskey barrels. The Robusto offers a smoking pleasure of around an hour and is accompanied by the aromas of wood, roasted coffee and fruity sweetness.
