Born in France and grew up in Honduras, Maria Pia Selva studied or as she calls herself Maya Selva, engineering, but developed a passion for cigars during her studies.

In 1991, the now 24 -year -old Maya returned to Honduras to follow her love of tobacco and bring Honduran cigars to France. Dissatisfied with the existing cigars, Selva wanted to create those who reflect the character of the Honduran soil. She worked in a cigar factory in Danlí for over a year to learn the entire production process from seeds to cigar. While this time she met Nestor Plasencia and won him in 1994 for a collaboration.

Flor de Selva was introduced in France in 1995 and quickly established itself. The Nicaraguan Puros of the Cumpay series followed in 1999. Villa Zamorano lined up in 2002. In addition, in 2024 there was homage to her beginnings Danlí.

 

 

Passion must be shared. Named after one of her tobacco growing goods, Villa Zamorano should convince even more people of her passion, the cigar. It should be a cigar for everyday life. Rustic in taste, high quality, with a good price-performance ratio.

The hand-rolled Puros from Honduras is manufactured with tobacco from the region of the Jamastran Valley. The series consists of long fillers cigars in different formats which are adorned by a reserved, stylish banderole.
