Matilde Cigars

This brand is backed by over 40 years of experience; José Seijas spent exactly this time as Vice President and General Manager of "Tabacalera de Garcia." But retirement isn't on his mind just yet. Together with his son Enrique, he breathed new life into the Matilde brand in 2014, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Founded in 1876, the label disappeared from the market when its owner died at the beginning of the 20th century. The brand's cigars are produced at "Tabacalera de Palma." They only employ rollers who smoke cigars themselves to guarantee complete quality control. Furthermore, only parts of the tobacco leaves that are free of strong veins are used, which ensures an even burn and also has aesthetic benefits.
