Eltang Pipes

Tom Eltang started making and repairing pipes at a very young age. In 1974, at the tender age of 16, he met the legendary pipe maker Anne Julie. After she saw his self-made pipes and recognized the potential, he apprenticeed with her. He worked with her for 3 years, repairing pipes for Pipe Dan and Stanwell and also built some himself.

He built his first pipes under his own name in 1980.

Tom Eltang is now one of the best known and best pipe makers in the world. It is particularly known for its contrasting finish on smooth pipes.

The pipes that are sold under the brand name "Sara Eltang" are also produced by him. In the early stages of the making, an assistant or family members may also help. Nevertheless, all Sara Eltang pipes are completed by Tom and supervised from the beginning. The brand's pipes are used to test new materials and techniques. Therefore, you can sometimes look extravagant instead of classic.

Sara Eltang pipes are named after one of his daughters.
